A Final Tribute to Theresa by Kim Meyer

I met Theresa playing Softball back in the 1980.  We quickly took a liking to each other and shared many precious memories Sailing.  What will I remember the most about Theresa.  Her spunk, her stamina and her perserverance.  I have never met anyone who faced adversity the way Theresa did.  No matter how much pain she was in, she still found the time and the heart to show her concern for what was going on in your life.  This is what made her such a TRUE FRIEND!    She was the true epitome of When the Going gets rough, the rough get going! and for that I admired her to the utmost.    Theresa has one of the most touching and powerful testimonies that I personally have ever witnesed.

For this reason, I commit to do my part in helping  keep Theresas testimony alive so that she can continue to plant seeds and help others to come to establish a personal relationship with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 55:8-9 (NASB) "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,'' declares the LORD. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts."

Pro 3:5

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Pro 3:6

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

So at times like these we shall not ask why, but rather find peace and joy that the suffering is over and rejoice in the fact that her walk in glory has just begun, this is a beautiful new beginning that I, myself, look forward to starting when my precious saviour brings me home and I hear the words Well Done, my good and faithful servant! Oh what a glorious day!

PELICAN PRAYERS

(A Song I wrote for Theresa)

Sometimes life dont seem so fair

With each twist and turn

But with every tribulation

Theres a lesson we can learn

We cant see the big picture

Nor the final plan

So we must lean on Christ alone

When we dont understand

Youre finally with your Father Sister

No more suffering, no more tears

        And youll always be remembered

        With Pelican Prayers.

Even though the picture may look bleak

And our faith is tested still

Even though the the journey seems endless

And it all seems uphill

We must keep God as our compass

Always let Him be our guide

Let Him steer our ships in all we do

Till weve reached the other side

Youre finally with your Father Sister

No more suffering, no more tears

        And youll always be remembered

        With Pelican Prayers.

Theresa your in Glory now

You dont have to fight this war

In His Word Hes promised us

That you shall hurt no more

Such courage and such valor

The Power to Perservere

Your determination and your spunk

Are all things that well hold dear!

Youre  finally with your Father Sister

No more suffering, no more tears

        And youll always be remembered

with Pelican Prayers.

If I ever have to face the walls

That youve climbed in your life

I pray that I can be like you

And still be a loving wife

For we can claim the victory

In Jesus Christ our Lord

He is our Rock and Redeemer

Eternal Life is our reward

Youre finally with your Father Sister

No more suffering, no more tears

        And youll always be remembered

with Pelican Prayers.
